Concrete can be scored, stained and sealed. Stained floors are low maintenance and offer a mottled look that resembles marble. Acid Stains come in Earth Tone colors. A chemical reaction between the metalic salts in the stain and the calcium hydroxide in the conrete create color.
Dye Stains are also available in more vibrant colors. Dye Stains are either water based or use a carrier such as acitone to penetrate and color the concrete. Unlike Acid Stains, Dyes are predictable in the colors they produce.
Concrete Overlays - also known as Architectural Concrete, can be applied to old and pitted concrete to create a new thin layer over the existing surface.
